We'll be going farther from civilization and melting into the deep wilderness of the middle coast barrier islands and back lake venues. Camps sites will predominantly be open sites and will vary depending on seasonality, weather, and the abundance of wildlife and quality of fishing. As we re-emerge into civilization, we'll gear down at the lodge and guests will have the opportunity to clean up and melt into the peaceful surrounds of our full service lodge. Enjoy fine dining and catch up with friends and loved ones; share the adventure; and re-connect before departing the next morning.
Some locations along the Matagorda barrier island are more remote and harder to get to than others but offer engagements with nature not found in other locales. These destinations are "semi assisted" by our infrastructure of fast moving bay boats and air boats. Getting gear and guests into some locations more distant from civilization can take some doing and we welcome you to the experience of moving the team and expedition afield. This will be an all hands on deck excursion with consequences for poor execution and inability to follow instructions. Nobody does it better, faster, or more effortlessly. Choosing more remote locations will be a function of satisfying the objectives of our guests while paring the locations with "seasonality and weather".

Depending on your safari type, we'll view the birds and abundant wildlife from saltmarsh barrier islands to brackish marsh; upper bays & back lakes; and the Guadalupe River and delta. The diversity of wildlife in these areas is amazing and we'll leave no trace as we move silently at a pace that best fits the group fully guided, assisted, and narrated by our expert watermen.
From subsistence fishing approaches to light tackle, we'll cover the water in search of Trophy Class Trout & Redfish. We may even jump in the water and do some wade fishing while we're at it or stay feet dry and silently move from through the complex maze of back lakes both saltwater & brackish environs.
